I have to say, that Christmas 2011 was a success. For the second year in a row, I decided to make most of my gifts. I did buy some things for my mama, because she needed them, but for the most part, what I gave was all made by me.
Just the way I like it.
It's been so hard not to share all the projects. The cuteness was almost too much to take.
Take a look!!
I made three nativity sets for my family. The manger was not included in the pattern, so I had to make it up. It worked out pretty well I think! I made them with yarn and not thread, so they're a tad bigger than the pattern.
A lemon. I don't know what it is, but I love to crochet inanimate objects. One day, I think it'd be funny to do a refrigerator. I don't know why. So a lemon just seemed to make sense. Plus, if you know my mama, you know that she eats lemons because she's weird. She thinks they're treats. I don't get it. But they remind me of her. This pattern called for more rows in the middle. I opted to make it a little shorter. And I added eyes. Because most of these things look cuter with the eyes.
A baseball for my bro. Because he plays baseball. Simple enough. :) I added a chain strand for the markings instead of stitching. Sometimes stitching doesn't work out for me.
A golden snitch for my sis. My sister likes Harry Potter. A lot.
A golf ball and a tee for my bro-in-law. This was the only pattern I had to buy. But if you do a search for golf crochet pattern on etsy, it's sure to show up. I think this one might be my favorite. I glued them together so they can just sit on the shelf and stare at you. But not in a creepy way. In an adorable way.
Little monsters for the nieces and nephews. I made 10 of these babies. I'm exhausted.
I just realized that I have no pictures of the doilies, washcloths, and trinket boxes that were made. But alas, this post is long enough as it is.
